Out with the old..

A couple of hours to go and 2011 will be history. Contrary to the forecasts of the meteorologists who promised us the longest, snowiest, coldest winter in the last many many years, and then upped the forecast to be even colder, snowier and longer, we've hardly seen any snow. The forecast going into the new year is for a brief (measured in hours) bit of cold followed by more chinook. Despite our inability to forecast the weather months, weeks or even days down the road, there are those who would have us believe that they can forecast the weather years down the road, and they assure us that we're all going to bake. Pshaw. Some of those same folks not many years ago promised us we were all going to freeze. Regardless, 2012 is just around the corner and it is bound to be a wonderful year!
